一、课程性质与设置目标要求

E英语教程》是安徽师范大学皖江学院音体美艺术专业必修的基础课程, 是大学教育的重要组成部分主要目标是帮助学生进一步完善和提高“听、说、读、写”等方面的能力。

大学英语教学是高等教育的一个有机组成部分,大学英语课程是一门非英语专业本科生的必修基础课。大学英语教学以英语语言知识、应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内容,以外语教学理论为指导,集多种教学模式和手段于一体。其教学目标是培养学生听说读写译的综合应用能力,为今后在工作和社会交往中用英语进行口头、书面信息交流奠定基础,并增强自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养。

根据《大学英语教学指南》,大学英语的教学目标是培养学生听说读写译的综合应用能力,强调培养学生的英语听说能力。因此,本课程的重点就在于提高学生的听说技能;难点就是如何提高学生的听说能力及听说读写译的综合应用能力。

1)需要足够的课堂时间,而现有的课时远远不够;

2)听说需要真实的语境,而真实语境恰恰是在中国外语教学中所缺少的;

3)本课程为综合课,听说需要花大量时间,而课时有限,要想实现既定目标,难度甚大;

4)要想在听说方面达到大纲的既定要求,学生得在课外花大量的时间自主学习,但这给教学管理和监督带来很大难度。

通过理论教学和实践活动,达到以下课程目标:

课程目标1:培养学生听、说、读、写、译的语言技能;

课程目标2:培养学生的学习能力和学习策略;

课程目标3:深刻理解中华民族优秀传统文化;   

课程目标4:明辨西方价值观和西方文化;

课程目标5:树立正确的世界观人生观价值观。

学习本课程的要求是:(1)树立正确的世界观人生观价值观2)提高学生的跨文化交际能力3)深刻理解中华民族优秀传统文化4)促进学生向主动学习、自主学习、个性化学习方向发展5)回归传统,天下大同

五、课程考核与评价

我国大部分高校中的大学英语教学还沿用传统的英语教学考核模式,即校内的终结性测试。这种考核方式只是注重学生对英语语言知识的掌握情况,对学生在读写方面水平的提高也会起到积极的促进作用,但忽略了对学生英语知识的应用能力、专业技能和文化素养的考查。

此次,通过采用过程性考核,每个学生都能感受到自己在学习上的进步。“无形的”过程考核和“有形的”结果考核相结合能发挥其功能,激发学生的学习自信心,培养学生的自主学习能力,化被动的知识接受者、任务的承担者为主动的知识追求者、任务参与者,改进教学效果。

同时,学生自我评价让学生熟悉自我,树立自信,反思和调控自己的学习过程, 促进了语言能力的不断发展。比如学生记录自己发现的一些问题、错误、进步等,从而学生在评价过程经常自我检查、自我分析、自我提高,促进了学生不断自我完善,自我改进。

 

这次改革是将结果考核和过程考核相结合,并倡导学生自评、互评,实现考核主体的多元化。比如,我们在平时的教学过程中开展小组模拟教学、听力测试、口语表达、翻译和写作测试,并且有些小测试可以让学生参与到评价中来。平时过程性考核成绩占期末总成绩的50%。

在期终的结果性考核中开展闭卷考试。考试题型为客观题,分别为判断正误、单项选择、阅读理解与完型填空。考试成绩占期末总成绩的50%。
